Look, I get it. Privacy policies are usually about as fun to read as tax code written in ancient Greek. But your privacy matters to me, so I’m going to explain how I handle your information in plain English. No legal mumbo-jumbo, no tricks, just the straight story.
I collect only what I need to provide you with great service, I keep it safe, and I don’t sell it to anyone. Ever. If that’s all you need to know, you can stop reading here. But if you want the details, keep going.
The stuff you give me directly: When you contact me, sign up for something, or hire me for a project, I might ask for things like your name, email address, phone number, or business details. I only ask for what I actually need, and you’re always free to say “nope, not sharing that” – though it might mean I can’t help you with certain things.
The behind-the-scenes stuff: Like most websites, mine automatically collects some technical information when you visit – things like what browser you’re using, how you found my site, and which pages you looked at. This helps me figure out if my website is working properly and what people are actually interested in.
My website uses cookies – those little bits of data that websites store on your computer. They help me remember things like whether you’ve visited before and what you were looking at. You can tell your browser to refuse cookies if you want, but some parts of my site might not work as smoothly.
Think of cookies like a friendly shopkeeper who remembers you prefer decaf – helpful, but not creepy.
I use the information you share to:
I don’t use your information to spam you, sell you things you don’t want, or share your personal details at the local coffee shop.
I take protecting your information seriously. I use secure connections (that little lock icon in your browser), keep my software updated, and generally try to make sure nobody can peek at your private details without permission.
That said, nothing online is 100% bulletproof, and I can’t promise that hackers will never try anything sneaky. But I do promise to do my best to keep your information secure and to let you know right away if anything goes wrong.
I don’t sell, rent, trade, or give away your personal information to other companies. Period.
I might share some general, anonymous information (like “most of my visitors use Chrome browsers”) with people I work with, but never anything that could identify you personally.
The only time I’d share your specific information is if you specifically ask me to (like if you want me to coordinate with another service provider for your project) or if I’m legally required to (which, knock on wood, has never happened).
Sometimes I link to other websites or mention services I think you might find useful. Once you click away from my site, their privacy policies take over, not mine. I try to only recommend trustworthy sites, but I can’t control what they do, so keep your wits about you out there.
If I need to update this privacy policy (which doesn’t happen often), I’ll let you know by email and post the changes here. I won’t make any sneaky changes without telling you.
If you have questions about this privacy policy, want to know what information I have about you, or just want to chat about privacy in general, drop me a line at kerri@kerri-anne.net.
I’m a real person who actually reads and responds to emails, so don’t be shy.
By using my website, you’re saying you’re okay with this privacy policy. If you’re not okay with it, that’s totally fine – you just shouldn’t use my site. If you keep using the site after I make changes to this policy, I’ll assume you’re cool with the updates.
Last updated: 4 June, 2025. This policy applies to Kerri-Anne.net and all the services I offer through the site.
